Plum Village - Mindfullness

Plum Village

Plum Village is a monastery for monks and nuns as well as a Buddhist practice center for lay people. It was founded in 1982 by the Vietnamese Zen-Master ThÝch Nhat Hanh (Thay).

Every year, Plum Village welcomes thousands of friends from all around the world. Due to its rapid expansion in recent years, the community is now comprised of four hamlets:

Plum Village - Upper Hamlet

Upper Hamlet is where the Plum Village monks live and practice.

Lower Hamlet and New Hamlet are home to about 50 Plum Village nuns each.
